Hidden Shelter Inspiration
I am now planning to build a hidden shelter in the forest near by to give me experience in shelter building and see how hidden a shelter. Planning to run the building project as a build your own hidden shelter workshop so that others can get experience as well as getting a few extra hands on site.
Initial Plan:
Hidden shelter rounded a bit like a low lying ant hill with a heather or cedar shingle roof then with grass and ferns growing on the roof to conceal with pine needles as well. If wanted to cheat a little I could use 4 or 5 layers or thick truck/van tarp which is what they used in Vienna Hut.
Walls made of stone or wood which has been treated with pine tar then covered in mud/clay mix like round houses. Or wattle and dorbe with willow walls.
Windows small and round or old double glaze windows then with shutters in front with growing plants to conceal when shut.
Hidden door with locking mechanism.
Inside a bed come storage box with a few chairs and a fire place at the back which would have a chimney hidden by plants on roof or old dead tree stump or simple metal chimney with cover or pipe smoke out somewhere else or under water.
A few photos ideas of potential shelters:

Making the inside of the shelter look nice would be really good.

Making Natural Dyes
How to dye your fabric
Tip: Wear gloves when handling the dyed fabric as it may stain your hands.- Make the colour fixative. There are 2 types. For most natural dyes you will need a plant fixative: mix 4 cups of water with 1 cup of vinegar. If you are making a natural dye from berries use a salt fixative: mix half a cup of salt with 8 cups of cold water.
- Soak the fabric in the colour fixative for about an hour before you start the dyeing process. This prepares the fabric to accept the dye.
- Rinse the material in cool water until the water runs clear.
- Make the dye. Ask an adult to help you. Chop the berries, leaves and nuts you have collected into small pieces and place in a saucepan. Add twice as much water and bring to the boil. Simmer for about an hour and strain.
- Put your fabric into the dye and leave it to soak. For a stronger shade, leave the material in the dye overnight. Your dyed item will be lighter in colour when dry.

Wild locations
Various locations to go camping:
Loch Rannoch, the Caledonian Forest and the black Woods:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loch_Rannoch
Macgregors cave http://www.highlandperthshire.org/all-places-by-area/all-places-by-area-all-rt/1336-Macgregors-Cave
short distance west of Rannoch Forest lies The Black Wood of Rannoch, a Caledonian Forest Reserve. This special place is rich in native tree species and supports a wealth of plants, insects, birds and animals. Today the wood is peaceful, but in a time long gone it sheltered outlaws and caterans (cattle rustlers) who made it the base for their notorious operations. Remnants of canals, constructed in the 17th century to assist in the clearing of timber, can also be seen in the woods.

Wild camping Rules:
Wild camping is lightweight, done in small numbers and only for two or three nights in any one place.

Wood burning stoves to make
Here is a list of wood burning stoves I have been looking at store bought wood burning stoves to get an idea how to make my own, the key is getting one that is thicker and stronger than just a tin can. It needs to be strong enough, be able to collect the ashes/ stop the stove from burning the ground and be small enough/ colapsable to take up only a small space in my bag.Avoid using resin as it messes up the metal.
