Wild locations

Various locations to go camping:

Loch Rannoch, the Caledonian Forest and the black Woods:

short distance west of Rannoch Forest lies The Black Wood of Rannoch, a Caledonian Forest Reserve. This special place is rich in native tree species and supports a wealth of plants, insects, birds and animals. Today the wood is peaceful, but in a time long gone it sheltered outlaws and caterans (cattle rustlers) who made it the base for their notorious operations. Remnants of canals, constructed in the 17th century to assist in the clearing of timber, can also be seen in the woods.

Wood burning stoves to make

Here is a list of wood burning stoves I have been looking at store bought wood burning stoves to get an idea how to make my own, the key is getting one that is thicker and stronger than just a tin can. It needs to be strong enough, be able to collect the ashes/ stop the stove from burning the ground and be small enough/ colapsable to take up only a small space in my bag.Avoid using resin as it messes up the metal.
